Laurie Jasany and her 6th grade Girl Scout troop, and several other members of Lake Norman Quilters and their children met at Centre Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 15. They stitched up blocks for several red, white and blue quilts that will go to wounded U.S. soldiers.

What a wonderful project! Love the design. Go Girl Scouts Go! I can see that you are making a difference!
What a great thing, having these young kids involved on honoring our wounded heroes. My son was injured, and later died of his injuries, in 2008. I spent some time with him at Brooke Army Medical Center, in San Antonio Texas before he passed. I was given several beautiful quilts from organizations like yours. They are so appreciated and I have some of them displayed in my home. Thanks again!!
