The program this month is Beth Dix from Black Mountain. She will also be doing a workshop on Wednesday on Redwork Embroidery. She said that the workshop would last about two and a half to three hours. We will meet starting at 9, planning on starting the workshop at 9:30. Class fee is $25 and kits will be $25. Plus you need scissors, thimble, additional lighting and embroidery hoop.
The Lake Norman Guild Annual Summer Picnic will be Tuesday, July 24th, at our regular time of 7:00 pm. Come a little early if you can because I’m sure everyone will want to start eating as soon as possible.
Bring your favorite culinary delight to share with the group, plus your recipe to share. Plates, plasticware, napkins and cups will be provided.
If you have picked up a favorite or useful tip, we will have a sharing time.
Please give copies of your recipe to Colleen Thrailkill. She will pass them to Snow for inclusion in the August newsletter. You may also email them to Snow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The May program is by Evelyn Judson, a Certified Quilt Judge. She will present a trunk show at the meeting, and a Perfect Piecing Workshop on Wednesday. The workshop is appropriate for beginners and advanced quilters. The class fee is $25, and the workshop kit fee is $5.

Hey Everyone. Remember, our meeting this month will be a week early AND a half hour early. So . . . we’ll see you Tuesday, December 19th at 6:30 pm. This will be our Annual Christmas Potluck and gift exchange — so bring that favorite dish and one gift to exchange.
On July 29th (Saturday) we will be having our scrap quilt workshop. The design we voted on was Trail Mix. Here is the link to the pattern:
Download the pattern, print it out and get your fabric baggies labeled and put some scraps laying around your sewing area in them. Seriously, this quilt is a great way to clean up that ever rising stash of small scraps that you just hate to part with.
